Mountain Restaurant

This restaurant sits in the Bucegi Mountains, and the whole concept grew out of one idea: the bee. You can see it everywhere once you look for it. The chimney and the suspended lighting borrow the geometry of the hive, and the same logic carries through into the rustic furniture, the exposed timber beams, the natural materials.

The restaurant is mostly open-plan, but custom planters and greenery break it into smaller, more intimate dining pockets without closing the space off. Lighting does a lot of the work too: bright and connected to the mountains during the day, then warmer and more intimate at night.
